This year, Vigilant Hope committed to the next twenty years in the Southside, choosing to cultivate deep roots and seek its flourishing. When sipping this drink, you are first met with the bite of freshly cracked pepper, then a rich depth from the chicory root and black cocoa along with smokey notes from the lapsang souchong simple syrup. This savory experience is meant to reflect the bold call God had for the Israelites (Jeremiah 29:4-7) and our vision for long-term presence in this neighborhood. We paired this drink with Roll Away Your Stone by Mumford and Sons, that feels like an anthem and ache for redemption met with a parade of stomping feet and strumming guitars.
